The ITU World Triathlon Series is an innovative series that allows the world’s top athletes to compete head-to-head on an ongoing basis. Expanding upon the previous single-day World Championship, the format features eight world-class events and an exciting Grand Final. San Diego will be the second stop in the 2012 season and feature Age Group Sprint and Olympic distances races along with Elite Men and Women's races.
With the support of top-tier commercial partners like Dextro Energy and Samsung, the series introduces exponential growth in athlete prize money, media coverage and sport exposure. The entire series will be broadcast online via triathlonlive.tv
